PERIPHERAL VASCULAR LAB

The Vascular Lab offers the latest state-of-the-art equipment and non-invasive procedures to evaluate arterial, cerebral, and venous diseases.  Duplex scanning utilizes ultrasound to identify vascular lesions of the upper and lower extremities.  Some of the most common Vascular Lab procedures include:

Cerebrovascular Examinations - utilizes duplex ultrasonography to evaluate cerebrovascular symptoms in an effort to prevent strokes.

Peripheral Arterial Examinations - determines segmental arterial pressures and waveforms at multiple levels of either the upper or lower extremities. Examination may also utilize duplex ultrasonography to determine obstructive disease of the arteries of the upper or lower extremities.

Venous Examinations - utilizes duplex ultrasonography to determine the presence of blood clots or venous insufficiency.

Abdominal Aorta Examinations- utilizes duplex ultrasonography to determine the presence of an abdominal aortic aneurysm.

The Vascular Lab is accredited by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories (ICAVL)
