Arterial Duplex Imaging
 
 

These examinations are helpful in evaluating patients with the following diagnoses or symptoms:

Evaluation of arterial bypass graft for occlusion, stenosis or pseudoaneurysm

Evaluation of dialysis access graft

Hematoma or pseudoaneurysm of access graft

Evaluation of native vessesls of either the upper or lower extremity for stenosis vs. occlusion for possible angioplasty

Evaluation of the lower or upper extremity artery to rule out aneurysm

Hematoma post-op

False aneursym following cardiac catheterization, arteriogram or angioplasty

Evaluation of endovascular procedures

This examination would be referred to as an Arterial Duplex Imaging Exam.

There is no preparation for this exam, you may eat and take your medications.
