received his undergraduate degree and medical education from Emory University in Atlanta in 1967. He completed an internship, general surgery residency program and an American Cancer Society Surgical Oncology Fellowship at the Medical College of Virginia. He also completed an American Cancer Society Fellowship at the Memorial-Sloan Kettering Institute in New York.
Dr. Brown is board certified in general surgery and serves as an Associate Clinical Professor of Surgery at the Medical College of Virginia. He is a member of numerous professional societies and is the recipient of several honors and awards for his outstanding work in the field. Additionally, Dr. Brown has authored numerous professional papers that have been published in medical journals and textbooks throughout the world. He is past-president of the Humera Society and has been actively involved in medical and community leadership positions throughout the Richmond area.
Dr. Brown devotes his practice to general surgery, with a special interest in malignant disease of the head and neck, breast, gastrointestinal tract, and soft part tumors.
