a Richmond native and Douglas Freeman High School graduate, received his undergraduate degree with honors from Hampden-Sydney College in 1978. He received his medical education with honors and surgical training at the Medical College of Virginia. He then completed a Vascular Surgery Fellowship at the Eastern Virginia Medical School.
Dr. Stoneburner is board certified in vascular and general surgery, and has served in leadership positions on numerous committees at Bon Secours St. Mary's Hospital. He is Assistant Clinical Professor of Vascular Surgery at VCU/MCV and past President of the Virginia Vascular Society. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, AOA, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Stoneburner devotes his practice to vascular surgery with a special interest in endovascular surgery.
Dr. Stoneburner is married and has three daughters. He enjoys golf, surfing, hunting and his family.
